Biography
Born in Cork in 1950, Ray Murphy lived in Dublin until until 1989 when he moved with his family to Co. Laois, where he worked in Emo Court. In 2023 he moved back to Cork and has a studio in Kanturk. His work is figurative, with a focus on graphite and pen & ink, but largely oil painting. His subject matter varies from environment to social issues.
